Day 56 Military Life

The office was really quiet. Most of the staff is at USET. Tim was there as part of the Honor Guard. I've been bugging them for years to get a group photo. But, as a group, they just aren't the type to want that kind of attention. The Honor Guard is made up of Tribal Members who have or are serving in the military. I can't help but be proud of them.

They always look so formal and precise. Like a drill team. They have different regalia's that they wear depending on what function they are asked to attend. The green camouflage uniform is similar to an army one, except that the shirts have traditional ribbons in brown and red that run down the front. My favorite uniform, however, is the camouflage pants with the black shirt and brown doe skin vest. A red beret with the tribal logo on it and combat boots complete the look. It's the perfect blend of US military and Native pride.
