Day 89 And it Rained

It rained. Not a cute sprinkling that you could open the windows and smell the freshness type of rain. It was a torrential downpour. It woke me up at an excessively early hour of the morning and didn't let up until well after I had to be up.

Luckily, I like the sound of the rain. Don't care to be in it, but I do enjoy listening to it. Tim and I decided to skip church in favor of spending the morning snuggling in bed. It's Father's Day so he can do what he wants. (Like I could stop him. LOL)

After a while the rain settled down. Random and I took Tim out for breakfast and to the grocery store. I wanted to get the shopping done in case the rain Gods decided to try to have another blow out. Breakfast was nice but the place was packed. The energy was so fast paced that I had issues with slowing down to eat.

I have got to figure out how to stop reacting to the atmosphere around me so much. Twice I caught myself hurrying to eat like I had to be somewhere immediately. The grocery store was less busy then I expected. Probably because they all have cable and were warned of the storm - so they all panic shopped the night before.

The store was out of shredded cheese (odd thing to be out of) but since we have a grater attachment for my Bosch, we decided to get some blocks of cheese and make our own. This should be interesting.

After shopping, Tim and I played Diablo. Until he fell asleep on the couch. Silly man. I sent him to take a nap and I found myself in the studio playing with my social media sites and updating my profiles. I tend to do this whenever I get bored with my online identity. I'm still struggling to find the right mix of professional and real.

Not sure I'll ever really get it right, but it's not for a lack of trying. Dinner was simple. Steakum with baked beans and tater tots. After dinner we played Diablo for a bit more. It was a quiet day. But that's what he usually likes so it was a perfect Father's day for Tim.
