11111

It has been 6 months since I started the real life blog posts. In that time the blog has grown to 25,552 views. The surprising part of this is that the blog started with 14,441 views, which leaves a growth of 11,111 views exactly.

Normally my number of choice is 3. 3 is more prominent in my life than 1. My birth date, driver's license and other numbers in my life are filled with 3's or multiples of 3, so having all 1's struck me as fascinating. I started to play with the 1's a bit to see what I could work out.

The most obvious thing about it is that it looks like something all lined up neatly in a row. Nice and orderly. Adding the numbers together gets me to 5. Not sure how that fits into the grand scheme things. I decided to do some research to see what else I could come up with.

11111 is the binary number for 31. 31 is a very interesting number. From Wikipedia:
Thirty-one is the third Mersenne prime ( 25 - 1 ) as well as the fourth primorial prime, and together with twenty-nine, another primorial prime, it comprises a twin prime. As a Mersenne prime, 31 is related to the perfect number 496, since 496 = 25 - 1 ( 25 - 1). 31 is the eighth Mersenne prime exponent. 31 is also the 4th lucky prime and the 11th supersingular prime.
31 is also the atomic number for Gallium. It is a post-transitional element, often found in smelting.

If I sum this up in the only way I know how I end up with something that represents in a way that I'm not sure I want to admit to.

Organized (somewhat OCD), post transitional (menopausal?) woman who likes metal or sharp pointy things as we call them.

Who knew this would work out so well?
