One Major Crisis at a Time

The new year has had a rough start. My editing computer died just before Christmas and my Professional Information Technology Associate, otherwise known as Tim (my husband), has been working on upgrading it since it went down. This turned out to be a much bigger project than planned because the system was older than Random, who is now 14, and was still using Windows XP.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I've avoided upgrading the system because having to reinstall Adobe Photoshop is a very complicated and time consuming process. And now that they have switched to a subscription service, they are actively discouraging people from reinstalling. They, of course, would rather that you purchase the latest version and pay the monthly fees involved.

In an effort to find the positive, this does mean that I will reviewing other image editing software and will be writing reviews about my experiences. Another positive is that with the computer back up and running I can get my photography projects back on schedule.

My first project is editing the images from Christmas. My side of the family is very spread out geographically so we don't usually have holidays together. 2015 was the exception. Those images will be coming soon.

My next project will be at the end of the month, when I work on a book cover for a client and participate in a Photo Day at a local club. After that I have a few other projects coming up that will keep me busy.

If anyone is interested in modeling, I will be doing test shoots in studio in March. Please contact me to set up your date and time or if you have any questions.
