Reforming Jane by Maggie Carpenter
Set in England the story features Jane, a con artist with a heart and no sense of self-preservation, and Henry, a geek by day and a kinky guy who likes spanking girls by night.
A chance meeting throws the two together and another chance meeting has them acting like love-struck fools. It’s well written with a lot of spanking. I wouldn’t call it a BDSM theme but there are some kinky moments.
The characters are typical of the genre. Jane starts a strong woman but is quickly reduced to being helpless. Aside from the sex, Henry is more of a father figure than a lover. Although ages are never discussed she reads as early 20’s while he reads like he’s in his late 30s to early 40s.
The book is a quick read and it was interesting. There were no real surprises, other than Henry’s major “lesson” and Jane’s reaction to it.
