Entwined with You by Sylvia Day
She devotes several chapters to re-hashing the events in the first two books and spends a lot of time attempting to build up the secondary characters. Unfortunately, her attempts are boring and predictable. So predictable that I was beginning to think I was reading a script for a Soap Opera rather than a romance novel. And just like a Soap Opera, the book ends in the middle of a pivotal plot point. Want to know the end of the story? Then you'll have to wait for books 4 and 5 of the trilogy to be published.
The book is also very, very short. Maybe it's because I just skimmed the parts of the book that I had already read in the first 2 books but it only took a few hours to read the whole thing. I returned the book because I refuse to support an author who chooses to drag out a story and/or not finish a book because she can't/won't finish writing the book before it's published.
