Fifty Shades Darker by EL James

I don't consider this the second book in the series. I consider it the rest of the first book and the beginning of the third. Book 1 ends poorly and book 3 has trouble starting mostly because critical information for each is actually in book 2. Like the first book, this is a quick, light romance with some heart-wrenching action add for good measure. The end of the book seems to be an afterthought complete with a printed dashed line which alerts you to the POV shift. If you skip this section then the book ends on a happy note and there is no reason to delve into book 3 unless you want to finish out the sideline story (which takes a bigger roll in book 3)
