I didn't get the job. I got the call today. I was told that I don't have skills that were not listed on the job description. I know that I was on the fence about taking it but to be disqualified because I don't have skills they never asked for sucks. Why can't people just be honest? I wonder if he was really just looking for a desk mop. There is a lot of that around here. They would rather hire some one that looks good in their back, than someone who will get the work done. Ironically, they then wonder why the company is going to hell.
On top of that the migraine won't go away. I asked about getting Charlie ' s days off since he retired. I was hoping that I could transfer to his old schedule. I was told no. So the exhaustion will continue until I pass out at work. Then they just might realize that I wasn't joking when I said I needed a real day off. More likely they will just fire me.
Work took forever to complete. It was finished by the end of the day but I had zero reason to try to get it done quickly. There is no incentive to care. When I stayed overnight and worked the snow storm I barely recieved a thank you. I was hoping that I would something but who am I kidding? I didn't even get a 5 Star Dollar, which is the bonus the give coworkers that volunteer to do things like vacuum the office. It's not like those are worth anything but at least it would have been something.
5 Star Dollars are dropped into a box in the cafeteria. Once a month the company picks a couple of people to receive $25 gift certificates. You have s better chance of hitting the state lottery.
To round out my day, Tim was too stressed out at work to be able to spend time with me before he leaves for Vegas in the morning. At least it's a short trip this time.
